Getting started
The difference starts from the beginning. A complimentary consultation offers you the chance to meet with a trained staff member to talk about your goals and history, learn about the programs we offer, take a tour of the facility, and decide if Desert Star is the right fit for you. And if not, we will help refer you to get the help you need.
What to expect
Every client of Desert Star participates on a voluntary basis, though we’ll work with licensing boards, employee assistance programs, justice system and similar mandated referring sources. Everyone is in a different place in their recovery journey, but united by a genuine desire to improve their lives.
Experienced, compassionate staff members
Group and individual sessions are led by highly skilled therapists, including master’s level or higher and licensed clinicians. Our psychiatric nurse practitioners have specialized experience in mental health and addiction. All staff members from the administrative assistant to the executive director have experience in and passion for high quality, effective mental health, eating disorder, and addiction treatment.
